Good job. Without the eye seems less busy and more complete. The eye feels like an afterthought to me.

Exactly my thoughts - I like the angry look as well, which is why it's hard to choose.

I like my MB is more personal, instead of looking like all other Macs. Also, it kinda camouflages the logo a bit.
