I mean, how difficult is it to upgrade the camera??

These could be improved in software - and the camera software wasn't even talked about. Not even the geotagging!

well i sure hope so. My current camera is kinda dying and I don't take a whole lot of pictures so I was just hoping to use my iphone for whenever i wanted to take pictures, but if it's crappy that will kinda suck..

so hopefully software upgrades will be good enough...

Im fine with 2MP, is not shabby and why would you need more? Having 5MP in such small space wouldn't work so well (same thing happens with tiny speakers "performing as well" as bigger ones, we all know they don't [applied lens-wise here]) For better pictures I have a Nikon D80 at hand thank you very much.

Is this a bad picture? No.

Give it light and it's bloody fantastic.

This picture has since been compressed to go on the iPhone again into a gallery and then emailed - the larger pic looks even better.

i personally think the iphone takes pictures rather well...granted there not huge, but they make due. if i need to take pictures that i need quality ill bring a real big boy camera.

Well, and for that 2MP is just fine. If you want I can post some pics taken with the iPhone so you can see that many times its very good.
