I had some stupid app from Sony that was creating constantly a new folder in my User directory. So, in the hunt of deleting whatever was causing this, I must have deleted something important.

For some reason, in a lot of web pages I'm seeing a notice of "Missing Plug-In". For example, in this MacRumors note I'm seeing it:

Cupertino Certain to Approve Apple's Spaceship Campus

Any ideas what this is? What should I be seeing there? An image?

Thanks for any help.

It looks like you don't have Flash installed, or maybe have an outdated version.

Yes, it was flash. In my "deleting frenzy" I must have deleted something related to Adobe Flash.

Thanks for the quick answer.:)

You got rid of flash and then you... brought it back?

Normally I rely on flash block to keep flash from 1) making noises when I want silence and 2) overheating my Macbook.

I mainly use Chrome which has flash built in. When I hear my fan spinning up, I generally can close the offending tab and get my machine back to normal.
