I need 2 good bands for....

Hello,

I have a 42mm black sport. I have the sport band and the black leather loop on the way.
1. My question is what is the best band for preventing theft?
2. The other is what do you think the best band for playing guitar is? Will the guitar strings ruin my leather loop? Or Amy bands ruin my guitar strings?

Holy hell, JayLenoChiniMac is of no help.

I would definitely recommend the Leather Buckle or Link Braclet as they require some intricacy to remove and can't just be quickly removed.
Sport bands and leather loops can be easily pulled off.

I agree with these bands. Am I safe to assume you'll wear your watch on the hand you'll be strumming the guitar?
 
Yes I strum with and wear my watch on my right hand. Don't want to mess up my strings with Milanese or link. And don't want to mess up my leather loop with my guitar strings. Strum with sport band?
 
I wouldn't be concerned in general with the leather loop. You will notice someone going through the kind of effort that would be required to get it off of your wrist.

Milanese Loop, Classic Leather, and Link won't be going anywhere.

I've tried on the Leather Loop and I'd expect it to be the same case there as well

Well....that will have to be a first hand experience. I'd try the sport band and see how it goes.

Sure he is... practice by prevention. IF you watch your surroundings it doesn't matter which watch band you have. IF you're going to get robbed again.... it doesn't matter which watch band you have.

OP's questions are silly but what the heck..... I'll take a shot.

1. No watch band will prevent theft
2. Play your guitar and see what happens. No one can probably answer your questions unless they have been playing a guitar with a leather loop on every day. Other wise it's simply speculation.

Milanese Loop, Link, and Classic are very difficult to pull off in a theft attempt. Just avoid the leather loop. Unlike the Milanese, the leather loop comes completely undone.

Bands will make no difference, for example if you are right handed and chose to wear your watch on your right hand (incorrect, IMO but to each his/her own). If you have experience wearing a watch this way while playing it will be the same story.

Anyway, strings are meant to be replaced - I wouldn't want to mess up my link or Milanese bracelets! :p

Thanks JP. I am a weird left hander no doubt. But that's good advice too thanks

Any band that's black and not shiny is probably best along with not touching it while in public......just wear the watch and don't worry about those kind of things. If you get robbed, you get robbed. Hopefully they won't kill you.
 
I think the milanese loop is by far the most thief-opposing band. The band literally can't be removed without you getting it around your hand and only if you consciously make your hand smaller to go through the hole
