I've been using "Things" as my task manager/to-do tracker for a long time, but lately my life is becoming more regimented and complex (kids, freelancing).

I'm realizing I need a daily scheduler that can integrate basic to-do's (pick up dry cleaning, etc), calendar events (Lunch with so-and-so at 12pm), and writing projects (with their own sub task lists).

The App Store has a bewildering amount of choices, but I'm not sure which will show me my schedule each day in this way. Is Omnifocus probably the only or best option?

Thanks!

I used to use Things but it is so barebones. I'm not even sure how it gets amazing ratings. I would suggest looking into 2Do. It covers pretty much all that you mentioned and not as pricey as Ominfocus (I'm sure/hope there's a good reason for the price). Gets updated frequently. Never had any issues with it. Have had it for 2 years and can't imagine living without it.
