Ifixit is reputable and they use quality parts. But I prefer Apples OEM battery personally.

If you're handy like you saw you are, get the iFixIt battery kit. It's four screws and you're in.

Agreed.

The replacement process isn't difficult, but I wouldn't want a third-party battery, not when an OEM one is $79. There are many crummy batteries on the market that puff up after a few months or lose charge. Even some brand new iPhone 8 have this problem.
