My iphone has been working for a year now and has lots of memory to spare but last night when i hooked it up to the computer to sync a song, it suddenly said that i had 5.28GB of "Other" and said that i dont have any more space for my songs. after i saw this i started to delete some apps but it said the same thing. i also have an itouch with the same amount of songs and apps and it synced like usual. What is happening? Please Help

There was a problem syncing and it caused iTunes to loose you music on the iPhone, instead just seeing that the space is used. Simply restore the iPhone and it will be fixed, it will have to reload your music and other things. I have it happen from time to time because of a loose connector on my USB 2.0 card.

I am reasonably sure I saw someone else report this someplace. The advice was to restore. From backup is OK. That took care of it in that case, and since it was from a backup, nothing was lost. Part of the advice was that there is nothing else to be done but restore.

I have not had your issue, so I have no experience, and I didn't search the forums here or ask Google, which undoubtedly would be worth doing.
