I need Help with my Intel Imac Hard drive

I tried to erase all the data on my hard drive through disk utility. The problem is that now I can't access my internal hard drive and it is not on my desk top. How do i fix it with out a install disk for the hard drive?


Disk utility will recognize that the hard drive is there but it is labeled untitled and not hard drive. I also can access it through finder when I open it through disk utility, but no other way.

Do you have a clone of the internal hdd?
Do you have another mac?
do you have a buddy with a mac?

if the answer is no buy a snow leopard recovery hdd from apple online 29 dollars. I will find a link.

from what you said you killed all info and osx and software. All info and programs are lost.

What do i do once I have the snow leopard disc?

put it in the dvd slot and boot.
the imac will boot off the dvd.
then call utility program up then format the drive then go back to the dvd and install it on the ssd.
