I need help with my new Dell 22"!

Just got this huge monitor( E228WFP connected to a MacBook ). But there seems to be several things wrong with how its displaying colors. For example, a lot of windows seem to be displaying light pinkish colors in otherwise white windows sometimes, sporatically. This happens in firefox, and also in normal os x areas. Any tips? There is also a very small line(same color) striped across the os x menu bar at the top, right in the middle of it. At first I thought this was all hardware and I got a bad monitor, but now im thinking it could be just software.

If you are seeing intermittent pink coloring of parts of the screen, then there are really only two options:

1) Loose cable

2) Defective hardware.

Anything else would produce systematically discoloration of the whole screen....
