I used to subscribe to Dave Ramsey's podcast... 3 podcast shows a day, M-F.

I originally set it up for Delete Played Episodes Off, Download Episodes On. (Same settings on iPhone)

This would not happen. It would randomly "Save" episodes that I didn't care to save and, at times, would have two different listings in the list of Podcasts, one of them would say "This podcast has been deleted from another device, but has saved episodes." It would also unsubscribe me from the podcast, causing me to miss episodes.

I finally got fed up with this and deleted everything, mainly because the 6 shows I really wanted to save got lost.

Now, here I am today. I'm PAYING for a podcast from ConnectPal. For the past few months, everything's gone smooth. Now again, I'm unsubscribed to them and there's two listed in my list of Podcasts. What's aggravating is I'm PAYING for these and I had planned to keep the episodes.

Am I doing this wrong? Should I just either leave it on iPhone or iTunes? What I normally do is download in iTunes then plug in iPhone and sync it over. Sometimes, if I'm out, I'll download the podcast OTA.

And, just checked again. Now all my EntreLeadership Podcasts are gone and I'm unsubscribed. Had years worth of them.

    Any suggestions?

I would suggest just using the iPhone app. Because of the way that iTunes handles syncing, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the issue.

    Thanks. I'll try that.

How would I go about archiving them though. I guess at the end of the day that's not that important. There's only one I'm wanting to get some information from right now. All the other podcasts I have archived I've never really gone back and listened to.

You can still use iTunes to do your archiving, you'll just have to do it manually. Just don't use it to sync as I think that's the problem.

Thanks. I'll give that a go.

I also unsynced Apple TV from the Podcast. That was just a big mess that I didn't want to deal with.
