That's not even the right power adapter is it? That looks like a MacBook Pro one...I guess it will work though.

Well I am using it right not to post.. the computer is pretty good condition.. there is some wear on the trackpad. I have not checked the apple care status, but it would have been one of the very first purchased to be out of applecare, I plan to buy if it is still eligible.

Other then that no scratches, all the parts work, isight and superdrive.. also it had a 100 gig HD not an 80 another bonus.. I am contemplating selling it and pocketing the extra cash :)

wow...just wow, you've definitely earned some bragging rights. If you are thinking of selling it you HAVE to check and make sure that it isn't hot. If the person you sell it to reports it to the police you will also be punsihed. "I didn't know" won't help you out.

But yeah...wow.

Ill post some pics when I get home.. I registered it last night, and had not problems.. so if it is hot, which I hope it isnt, the old owner did not register it.

The purchase date was June, so i have 4-5 months of applecare yet..

Did it come with the install CDs? If not, most likely hot...

Looking at the sellers other auctions, I would venture to guess he owns a pawn shop (or equivalent)...

Exactly. Doesn;'t neccesarily mean it's hot though. Someone could have defaulted on a loan. In VA they are pretty strict on reporting incoming computers at pawn shops to the police... the fines are heavy enough that it only makes sense to check with the police before reselling.

If you call apple with the serial number, they will only tell you who it is registered too. I bought my G5 power mac from a college student who was graduating and stopped by his apartment to check it out/pick it up. Sure enough he was moving. I bought it, took it home and a couple of weeks later while searching, found a different name than his on the computer. Called apple up and they verified the same name but they couldn't tell me if it was stolen.

Hmmm...This Mac Book look a lot like your.

The trackpads on black macbooks get awfully shiny after even minimal use.

^ what the hell did you do to that mouse ?

It's weired if you take picture of Mac Book with flash, it look like the trackpad have been use intensively but it's new.

I'm on the fence with this one. I understand there are those out there that can't afford a good computer, but I just can't do with a computer without a decent video card. I got a Mac Pro with a lot of the little extras, but that's me.

In my opinion, this was a poor deal, but then again it all depends on what you intend on using this for.

Are you kidding me?!? This was a great deal! Just because its not a mac pro doesn't mean its not a good, or even great computer!! How can you compare a Mac pro with a macbook that only cost 600$?!

I didn't compare the two, I just said I owned a Mac Pro. What I did say was I didn't agree with getting a Macbook without a better graphics card. If you are at ease with an integrated 64MB graphics card then that's you, as for me I need a little more power.

Great find!

All these people saying it's probably stolen are just jealous. Ebay doesn't often present deals like this one. Sweet deal.

Thats great for you, but there is no way you can say that this was a poor deal!
