Want to hit your Move goal? Just go for a drive!

Just spent 3 hours in the car sitting on my ass and I've hit my Move goal with 342 calories registered!!

I really thought Apple Watch would be smart enough, especially when paired with an iPhone to work out that if I'm doing 70mph then I'm likely to be driving and hence not count Move calories. Even my old Nike Fuelband and Misfit were better at detecting and ignoring driving or sitting on a train and not counting as activity!! Hoping a software update will improve things but as it stand it's a bit of a joke!!

Maybe a soft reset of your Watch will help. Yesterday my watch was filling the move circle much faster then before. I already had 250 cal after 99 steps. Normally it is around 2000 steps at 250 cal. I did a reset and now it is back how it was before.

I'll try that but when walking/general exercise it's fine - it just seems that apple's alogorithms for detecting movement ought to account for train/car journeys where its obvious from the phone GPS that you are travelling at speed - not walking at 70mph! My old Nike Fuelband and Misfit were pretty good at filtering movement and not counting steps/activity when travelling even without the ability to reference GPS on the phone. It's something that could be improved with a software update.

Get a jump rope, start an Other workout. 10 minutes will get you 100 calories pretty easily (even with breathing breaks). I use this technique to polish it off some days...

That is a great idea! Definitely going to give that one a try.
