Hey everyone,
I have the famous 1015 error loop. all of a sudden my iphone's wifi stopped working and I saw that it was still under warranty so i thought i would send it in for repair. I jailbroke and unlocked it so i need to get it back to factory settings so they don't know i did that. I have tried many different things but haven thad any luck getting it back to factory. I keep getting the 1050 error even when i use a tool to make that stop. Please help me, I need my phone back! Thanks

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Now the OP needs someone to rescue him. Maybe with a little research and information gathering BEFORE he jailbroke the phone, the problem wouldn't have occurred or he would have a solution.

I have tried DFU mode and is till get the error 1050. I believe it was the ipad 06.15.00 baseband but not sure how can i tell?

settings > general > about. it's at the bottom: Modem Firmware. if it's ipad 06.15.00 you're really stuck.

You can tell by running F0recast but if you installed the ipad BB to unlock you cannot restore it to official firmware. You will always get those errors.
You have to restore to custom 4.2.1 ipsw created with pwnage.
Or downgrade it to official 3.1.3 firmware.
Just download 3.1.3 from here: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...00202.pbnrt/iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw

And then hold the shift or option key down with your iphone plugged in to itunes and click restore.
Then it will let you restore to that 3.1.3 you downloaded from above.

yeah the baseband is 06.15.00 is there any way to get it back to a factory ispw? i dont want them to know i jailbroke and unlocked it. Thanks

When you installed the ipad bb, you screwed yourself. When the genius looks at your bb, they'll see the ipad bb. They'll know immediately that it had been jb/unlocked. You can't downgrade the bb, so forget the warranty service.

Why not? If you're voiding the warranty you may as well accept the consequences that come with it.
