I noticed a Security issue with voice command

When the phone is locked and you bring up voice command it allows you to make phone calls so anyone can pick up your phone and start calling people without a code...does anyone else see a problem with that!??

You can disable that in Settings-->General-->Block with Code-->Voice Dialing

(that may not be the exact names, as my iphone is not in english 🙂

However, ipod always works in voice control, even with a passcode.

Not a problem at all. I don't leave my $600 iPhone just sitting around for anyone to grab and use..... Oh by the way OP, where do you live? I think I may come by and hang out....

In English it's Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock -> Voice Dial

Slide "Voice Dial" to Off:

Once this is set and your phone is passcode locked, it'll respond with "Voice Dialing is Disabled" to any Voice Dial command.

And as stated above, iPod commands will still work, but the worst that should cost you is embarrassment when the thief discovers you have the entire anthology of, say, Hanson. 😀

Thanks for the replys! Who said anything about leaving the phone lying around? Have you ever been to Nyc? I was already mugged on the subway for my iPod touch last thing I need is for the scum to be calling people on my phone.

so a stranger is going to pick up YOUR phone and voice dial who?

Call Mom?

Call Home?

the person needs to know contacts in your phone...

Edit: ok I was wrong...you can just say a number.

I think you can Call any number with voice dial, simply say Call then say the number.

Even so.. There are generic names on everyones phone like mom and dad or u can say any common name.. I guess u feel fine leaving it some ppl don't that's why there's an option.
