I wonder how much better the 4s will be when my 4 is only getting 1.4 Mbps download.

Heck, 4 Mbps would be great let alone the 14.4 the 4s is supposed to be "capable" of.

You will almost never hit the theoretical speeds, there is a reason they are theoretical.

I find it depends wildly on time of day and where I am. I'm in a moderately large city (Columbus, OH) and there is very good AT&T coverage here. I typically get in the 2-3MBps range, but it is not unusual to see 5-6 MBps down on 3G. I'm hoping with the 4S I'm typically getting 4-6 with occasional spikes to 10 or so. 🙂

I only decided to download the app and test my speed due to the talk regarding AT&T claiming 4G speeds.

I would love a speed bump on web page loading!

Well considering slashgear saw data rates of around 2Mbps on the CDMA model...I would assume you would see some improvement too. Its all about your area though.

Heck, I get 2 plus on the 4 now. Maybe we "Verizon" will have a speed bump too.

Oh wow really? On my Thunderbolt if I don't have 4G service I am lucky to hit 1Mbps down usually I don't even get that. Luckily I almost always have 4G
