I opened this you are an idiot pop-up, is it harmful?

Hi,

I was checking out this omegle chat website and someone sent me a link which i opened in my browser. The pop-up said you are an idiot, and made closing my browser impossible. I had to force quit my browser. The link was quite long...the link started with google, so i thought it was something nice

is it harmful to my mac?

Probably not. I bet it was just JavaScript code playing tricks with your browser's onunload event or whatever its called.

Nah! i copied and pasted the link in my browser then it started! Did some searching about the prank in google. Feeling safe now...but you never know
