I opened this you are an idiot pop-up, is it harmful?

    I was checking out this omegle chat website and someone sent me a link which i opened in my browser. The pop-up said you are an idiot, and made closing my browser impossible. I had to force quit my browser. The link was quite long...the link started with google, so i thought it was something nice :(

    is it harmful to my mac?

    Probably not. I bet it was just JavaScript code playing tricks with your browser's onunload event or whatever its called.

    Unless you have used you password in any way during that hiccup, you should be safe for 99%.

    Nah! i copied and pasted the link in my browser then it started! Did some searching about the prank in google. Feeling safe now...but you never know :confused:
