I can't wait for my bumper to arrive. They say it's shipping on July 2nd. Hopefully I can get an iPhone ordered by then if Apple will take my money...

Bad thread title, man. Makes it sound like you ordered a white PHONE and right now, that's impossible.

Impossible to order a product from Apple even after they said it would be available to order. Weird. I wonder why? Anyone care to bet they'll be available to order on July 2nd once they can list the sales as Q3 2010 revenue? Stockholders beware. When companies start doing things like this it's a sure sign of a bubble and bad things to come...

I highly doubt that Apple has any financial problems...seeing as they're sitting on $40 BILLION in cash, NOT including assets.

I never said they had financial problems, that would be foolish. I'm merely stating that they are now playing numbers games with their sales which means their growth rates are most likely internally projected to slow. On Wall Street if you aren't growing you're dying. Apple is currently the #2 most valuable publicly traded company in America. They're gaming the numbers to try and stay that way. I'm betting 9 months from now Apple won't even be in the top 10 by market cap. Don't believe me? Buy Apple stock now and put your money where your mouth is. I'd be happy to sell you some shares I bought a few years back...

I bought 100 shares back when I was in High School for $400. :)

I secretly hoped one day I could sell them for $400 each (just because that would be cool) but now I'm thinking that Apple stock is ready to turn downward. I'll hold until after they release the inflated Q3 numbers in another 4-5 months though...

If I had those shares I'd sell right now. I don't see too much more upside, but that's a whole other discussion.

Funny you mention that. I told my uncle awhile back that Apple was on its way up, and he said 'Microsoft put a stake in their heart and they were bleeding out and would stop moving soon.' The stock price was $78 a share, so I bought 5,000 shares. DAMN, he was wrong, and you may be too....

I kinda fell into some money when my mother passed away, and I was always raised to make your own way. I figured if I lost it, it was no actual loss to me, because money doesnt replace a person. I put $400k to Apple stock, and $100k in 'safer' mutual funds. Surprisingly, the Apple has outperformed my mutual funds, and my 401k at work. Actually, I take frequent loans from my 401k to buy new Apple stuff. I have come to think of my Apple stock as retirement...
