iPhone 17 Pro Max I overreacted on a lack of black / grey / natural color option for the 17 Pro Max. Ended up ordering the Deep Blue and it’s a beautiful color.

Well, I can admit that I was 100% wrong…

I ended up getting a Deep Blue 17 Pro Max on release day and gotta say it’s a beautiful color ☺️

Sorry if I annoyed anyone with my earlier hot takes on Apple not releasing a black / grey / natural color option for the 17 Pro Max.

The blue techwoven case also looks fantastic on the blue Pro Max, feels great in the hand, and completes the total package 🤌🏻

I kinda feel that… I got cosmic orange by ‚accident‘. And I absolutely didn’t like the Color at all from videos and pictures. The reason why I got it was that it was the only one available still for release date… anyway I was sure I was going to hate it. But it actually don’t looks that horrible in reality and now 2 days later I kinda start to even like the color. Depending on the case I use it can look pretty cool.

I thought the 3 colors for Pro series are right now. Silver for silver and white lovers, Deep Blue for the dark/ black phone ones. And then you've got the Cosmic Orange for ppl who love a pop of color. All bases covered!

I'm glad you both enjoy your new purchases. I'm still waiting for my Cosmic Orange Pro to arrive in the mail (pre-ordered a bit late). I just worry that my eyes will have to adjust going from ProMax to Pro. But I love a smaller phone for my smaller handbags. Hopefully this will reduce my screen time as well.

You’re right about there being a color for everyone. Worst case scenario you can simply put it in a case or skin that compliments it. Our brains get so used to a certain size or color that we can’t even imagine changing, but it’s amazing how quickly we adapt to whatever new option we use and appreciate it. I’m sure you’ll end up loving the Pro and its smaller size. It’s also nice to get some variety so that if you ever switch back to a Pro Max in a future model you’ll have that “new toy” feeling all over again 😄

Btw I initially ordered at 5:05am on the 12th, and got an order range of the 24th - 29th. I was hoping I would get my order eventually moved up like others did, but on the 19th I saw there still no update so I checked Apples website and tried to do a “test” order of a Pro Max and found out there was one in stock available for 2-hour delivery that day for $9 courier fee! 🥳 Not sure if you’re looking to get yours sooner or if this option is even available but it might help to keep checking Apples website 🙏🏻

Oh I have ordered a lot of cases… 😅 but most of them didn’t arrive by now. Currently I have a black case yes, with frostet back. This combo really looks good. But I also will do something very unusual and gonna try some pink cases on it. 😂 I like these kind of colors, that’s why I wanted the silver Pro… but I’m just gonna be brave and rock that orange. 😌

Oh yes, depending on how the light hits the phone I can definitely see a slight purple hue. It looks awesome IMO and I really like it. Which color do you prefer of the new phones?

Haha, normally I do the same and buy a bunch of cases in an effort to find the “perfect” one 😄 In the past I always looked for ones with a matte pattern on the back to avoid showing any fingerprints. Thankfully the Techwoven case seems to do just that, fits amazing, and matches the Deep Blue perfectly. Which is your favorite case so far?

Glad the pictures turned out well 🙂 I wasn’t sure since took them with my iPad. I agree that the various colors of the Deep Blue look great. Hopefully when you’re ready to upgrade they’ll have all the models available with no delay. Anything that would push you over the edge to want to upgrade?

I am not a “case switcher”, i usually have 1 case (leather) for the lifetime of the phone, however, I had 2 different clear cases on my 13PM that both turned yellow after 6-9 months and I eventually got a leather case. I will have to see how this case does over time…

The other colors looked terrible to me. Orange... good grief, and the big white rectangle on the back of the silver didn't call me, though admittedly it's in a case now, so... whatever. The blue is very pretty, though ultimately I'd have gone with black if Apple hadn't gone and Apple'd.

Your photo was enough. I picked up my blue PM four hours later. Love it. Really love the color.

Blue techwoven case was sold out unfortunately - so I grabbed the blue Beats "Rugged" case as a consolation prize. I hadn't seen that case before - didn't even know it existed until I saw it on the wall display beside all the others. On the drive home I decided I really want the techwoven one, so Beats is going back unopened.

Tomorrow's another day.

Of course. Because blue and orange are complementary colors. So in hindsight, the Pro colors make perfect sense.

Yeah, I hear you. This time I think I’ll be strictly sticking with the techwoven case and I love its tight fit, matching color, and ability to not show any fingerprints. Hoping yours works out great and you can stick with it for all the years that you have your 17 series 🙂

It’s funny, I felt the opposite. At first the blue looked so dark to me in photos, but then in person it has this multi-shade effect and just a hint of purple to keep things interesting depending on how the light strikes it 😄

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a space black or grey option as well. Thankfully my mind was able to easily adapt to the new color and now I am very happy with my purchase. Feel free to keep whining though! I ended up getting a Mothca 2-pack matte screen protector off of Amazon. It was just $12 and was well worth it imo. I love that it minimizes annoying reflections and completely prevents fingerprints. The colors are muted ever so slightly (if a glossy screen is 100% saturation, then the matte screen protector is 90%), but once you have it on you hardly notice anything besides the better outdoor visibility and hardly ever having to wipe my screen anymore.
