iPhone 17 Pro Max I overreacted on a lack of black / grey / natural color option for the 17 Pro Max. Ended up ordering the Deep Blue and it’s a beautiful color.

That Mothca screen protector looks amazing. How hard/easy was to install it on the phone? Any tips on the installation process?

It is amazing! Dunno if I can ever go back to a non-matte screen protector. Absolutely love how it takes care of reflections and fingerprints 😊

Install process was a bit of a pain, but that wasn’t due to the protector, just me being silly and getting dust underneath a few times that I would have to fish out and start over 😣

I should have fogged up the bathroom with hot water before starting the install process.

The protectors come with an installation frame to help align things when you are pressing it down. Just keep at it and if you get a spec of dust underneath, simply lift up the protector with your drivers license (even fully if you need to) and use the sticky tape it comes with to get the dust off the bottom before laying it back down. Took me maybe 3 tries until I got it perfect?

It’s not as easy as the glossy ones in which you simply lock your phone in and pull on a plastic sheet which installs the protector with zero bubbles or dust, but just a normal screen protector install and not bad.

I ended up getting a Deep Blue 17 Pro Max on release day and gotta say it’s a beautiful color ☺️

Sorry if I annoyed anyone with my earlier hot takes on Apple not releasing a black / grey / natural color option for the 17 Pro Max.

The blue techwoven case also looks fantastic on the blue Pro Max, feels great in the hand, and completes the total package 🤌🏻

Thanks to everyone who tried to convince me early on, even if I wasn’t listening at the time 😄

Beautiful! I have the Air, but if I got the Pro, that is the color choice and case I would want.

I'm on the fence with upgrading from my older 13 Mini. I went from a bigger phone to this smaller phone because I missed how compact and easier to carry a smaller phone is. But now after many years I want more screen real estate again soI'm thinking about getting the 17 Pro Max however, I'm not thrilled at how expensive these phone have gotten and the lack of black or space grey. This blue looks nice but I'm not into it and yeah I know I'll have it in a case anyway but that camera bump will still be showing the color.

I have a feeling that they might release a new color mid-cycle just like the purple iPhone 12 and 12 mini, green iPhone 13 and 13 mini, alpine green iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, and yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

I had a red XR years back, and my first Pro model was the 12, which I ordered in Pacific Blue, with matching Silicone case and California Mag Wallet. I then went black 14PM and black 15PM. Always a bit annoyed that the base model iPhones got a decent colour spectrum, but Pros were always so muted. I wasn’t going to upgrade this year, but when I saw the Cosmic Orange I was pretty excited, decided to take the plunge.

It looks amazing in the flesh, and I do use it naked in the home, but it also looks great in the black TW case, with the little pop of colour on the rear. I was torn over the Blue and Orange, but Orange is a favourite colour of mine.

Just glad, for at least one year, I can have a Pro model phone in a bold colour. With all the negative press and comments about the Orange, I doubt we’ll see another, so thanks for this one Apple!

I finally got the 17 Pro Max in the Deep Blue and love it. It's a Batman blue color which is cool. There are only two things I don't like about this phone, the huge camera bump and the camera rattle you can hear when setting it down near the top first. I understand the cause is the stabilization sensor moves around a bit but it makes the phone feel cheap and not solid.
