iPad mini I pad Mini 2, the same anywhere?

Good evening everyone.

First post. i am wanting to buy an Ipad Mini 2 here in a few days, are they all the same spec/apps wise.aluminum body etc no matter where you buy it? as in Wal mart,Best buy or maybe Target. I know used to you could buy a game machine or the like and the same one at best buy would be a little different than Wal Mart. although not too pricey i want one that is straight from Apple and not redesigned for different stores. If i buy one at Wal Mart will it be the same as if i bought it straight from Apple?

Yes, it will be the same. I've never heard of that not being true for game systems either. They don't have different units produced for different stores.

Thank you for your response. im glad to know they will be the same, as for the game machines maybe it was just preloaded stuff rather than the mechanics or hardware.

That's possible. Game systems, computers, or phones may come with different software bundled depending on the retailer, but the physical device should be the same.

Im really getting juiced up knowing ill be getting the Ipad mini 2 in a few days. I used to be in the mindset that Apple stuff is too pricey and overated. unitl i got my Ipod touch a few years ago then my Iphone 5s a couple of years ago. Im sold on Apple products and this will be my first Ipad.

The iPad mini 2 has the same quality and strength unibody and glass as all the iPads. The only difference between it and the newer (2014 and on iPads) is that it doesn't have a laminated display. It still has the same HD retina quality screen, but the overall tablet is not as thin as the Mini 4 or iPad Pros. It's an amazingly cool and powerful machine and I think you'll love it.

The newest mini 2 is the same one that came out in Fall 2013, the only difference will be that it most will likely come preloaded with iOS 8 or 9. Are you meaning you are getting the newset iPad mini (the mini 4) or just a NEW mini 2, (like not from craigslist or ebay,) but new from walmart, Target, Apple, etc, or etc?

Actually, as of yesterday, you can get the mini 2 on the Apple website in 32GB only- no longer 16GB - for the same price. I would imagine any resellers are still selling the old mini 2 16GB model.
