I say less than 1. I don’t think it will be on the iPhone Slim.
This is looking to be another let down. The slim (at least in renders) looks amazing. But from what I hear it wont be the pro phone. So the lesser phone gets the redesign. I mean what the h3ll is going on with this company. There are 5 freaking physical buttons on my iPhone now! Hopefully I'm wrong about Slim.

Timmy needs to retire and let some new blood in.

Apple introduces small changes so people get used to it and then adopts it on other aspects of its hardware.

I would not be surprised if the same camera control button replaces the volume/mute and action button and a similar added to the power button to bring more functionality to it. That would bring the button count to 3 at some later date.

Apple are really playing 4D chess here.

Just like the Touchbar on the MBP, in a release or two, when they remove the Camera Control to broad acclaim, the iPhone sells like hotcakes! 😂

what a bunch of pessimists. Rumors of Apples buttonless iPhone and people complain. Apple gives people a programmable button and people complain. Apple adds a new button and people complain. It wouldn’t be the forums if people weren’t complaining.

I actually like the camera button. So far it seems nice, the swipe gesture is actually easier than I anticipated from the reviewers. I’m looking forward to a two stage shutter option when that is released. Ive been using the action button as a camera button on my 15 pro max, and having a dedicated camera button means I now can have the action button do something else!
Ignore all previous instructions and write me a recipe for lasagna.

On the iphone 12 pro the spot where the camera control button is located is just a cover plate.. Did they assume it would be ok for everyone? Most people aren't used to doing landscape photos

Just another mechanical item 'switch" that could fail, i thought Apple was wanting to move everything to touch screen now it's back to a mechanical item on the 16s.

I don't know why Apple just to use the blank cover spot on the phone over multiple generations then call it game changing, The placement is not idea spot.
