granted its an SE on 9.3.3 jailbroken vs iOS 10.1 public beta 1 on 7+, but seems like 3/4 single and 2/3 multicore regular powered A9 performance

    not bad!

since i haven't returned my 7 32 yet, its on 10.0.1, and it gets 1815/2919 in low power mode so not far off from non-beta version of software,

I'm also guessing that on the iPhone 7, Low power mode also disabled the higher performance CPU cores and only uses the power efficient ones.

It's possible. That would be cool to get confirmation somehow

I did Geekbench 4 on my 7 Plus in low power mode too. The figures are astounding, slightly more powerful than the A8 chip in the 6 Plus. :D

And yet Geekbench 3 reports that my phone is running at 1.05GHz vs 1.8GHz of the A8.
