I am running 10.3.9 with ITunes. I keep all of my music files on a Phantom Firewire 400 external hard drive. I have for the past year or so randonly lost albums. I don't lose artists, but albums of artists. They simply disappear. I have my Itunes organize by folder, so it is easy to see what is happening. Can anyone explain this or please help me? thanks Joe

Do you lose the actual songs? What itunes version are you using (you should use the latest, and make sure to to update the library files)

If these are ITMS songs, it could be a digital rights management issue. It could be that you have exceeded the maximum number of song copying. Please describe your system of file transfer. Am I right in assuming that you do not use the drive as a backup disk for your music, and that most if not all of your iTunes files are on the phantom drive?
