    AHH! Hey all,

I officially hate windows. Everything is so annoying, my computer keeps crashing and freezing. I know that computers are never perfect, and I know that Macs have their fair share of problems. But this computer is simply crap.
I cannot WAIT to get my Macbook Pro 13 inch!! Uhh..I've put up with microsoft for long enough, it's really time to switch.

Unfortunately, I can't get my MBP until school ends. Which is like late June! Is there anyone else out there who has a PC and is waiting to switch to Mac? It is sooo painful. :(

CAN'T WAIT! MY FIRST MAC!! :apple: :)

ps. watching ten thousand unboxings videos on youtube doesn't help my case.. :)

I had go without a Mac after I sold my first one and waited for my second one to arrive. All I had for a computer was my old Windows desktop. That week just re-affirmed how much I was glad to make the switch.

About a year. I just don't like Windows 7, bleh, I'd much rather Snow Leopard. Just counting down the days until I can throw this piece of junk off our deck.

Haha, I feel the same way!

I will be ordering my MacBook Pro 15" mid July, just becuase I dont have enough money for everything yet. If I work my usual hours, I should have enough for my MacBook Pro, a bunch of accesories, external monitor, and some other Xbox 360 accessories.

    I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Just like you, I hate my current Acer laptop!

And the funny thing is, I think I have watched every unboxing/review for the MacBook Pro 2010 models =)

I cant wait to open my box, pull out the sexy laptop and unwrap it from that plastic ;)

I just bought mine yesterday. I went from a 2007 white MacBook to a new 13inch pro. Before the whitebook I had a Dell which died on me, slowly. I know that feeling you're having. I love my new computer though. My parents are inheriting my whitebook. The only computer they have is a 1991 gateway which doesn't go on the Internet. It run their business though.

LOL! Most of us know all to well and have been waiting for the new MBP's to refresh since January. When I got my new machine a couple weeks ago made the whole wait worth it. But that was the longest and most intense wait for any product to release I have ever had anything to do with. Worst part about it, was no one even knew what we were waiting for how long we were going to be waiting.

This 2010 15" MBP is my first Mac. I like it a lot, but it hasn't been the "revelation" that many of my friends/peers had described to me. I still use and like Windows. I can honestly say I've never had problems, bsods, slow-downs etc. using Win2K, WinXP x64, and Win7. YMMV ;)

    I totally feel you!
I'm still on my 3 and a half years old VAIO laptop, and I've been one of the people waiting for the Arrandale refresh so that I would make my first Mac purchase. I eventually ordered it on April 29th, but they said it would take from 20 to 30 days because it's BTO and I live in the Middle East. It's so hard to wait, but it's not like I can do anything else :p

This is my first post on macrumors but I just had to respond to this post. I know exactly how you feel. I used to own a 12" iBook G4. I (stupidly) bought an HP Pavilion with Win 7 to replace it. I had the HP for about 5 months and hated it more and more the longer I kept it. So I finally sold both computers and I'm going down to the Apple Store this coming Saturday to purchase a new 15" MBP. I have had to wait quite some time for the day to arrive, but it's almost here! Right now I'm on a desktop with Win Vista Business.

Like others on here, I am still undecided between 1.) the i5 2.4 and the i7, and 2.) the standard glossy and hi-res anti-glare. I am leaning toward the i7, but I'll just have to look at the screens on Saturday and make my decision about that in-store. :)

Dude, I am in the exact same position. My parents are getting me one for my bday which is in July. I have been using the same pc for like 6-7 years and it sucked right out of the box. Its a dell, with like 512mg of ram, a 150gb hdd, and i think it runs a intel p4. I'm not really a mac noob, i used them all through high school doing a lot of work with photoshop and indesign and im going to be using the mac for college.

I have been staring at the apple site for weeks, just looking at pictures. Yesterday, my mom came in my room and i was on the apple site and when she asked me what i was doing all i could say is looking a apple porn...lol.

Im thinking of killing my pc, so i don't have to wait. I could delete mcaffe and download a ton of porn torrents...hehe.

On a side note, i have a fairly large itunes library. I think it is about 50gb. I'm getting the baseline 15 inch that came out in april. I was wondering will that amount of music make it significantly slower? That is my only concern and i have not really found an answer to that question on the net. Also does anyone know a good spyware removal program for mac? I download a lot of torrents and they are loaded with spyware, adware, and Trojans, and i dont want to ruin my mac off the bat

It will not slow your Mac down and all the crap that comes with your torrents won't affect your Mac either :)

My MBP 13" 2010 arrived yesterday with UPS, I ordered it on the 30th of April. (it was a BTO)

I also have DIY'd my Windows 7 gaming rig, but I love this baby.

    1) She looks SO good
    2) Screen is extremely crispy and bright
    3) Battery runs circles around my dad's notebook's battery
    4) Trackpad. I never expected that to work SO nice
    5) OS X. The ease of modiying anything on yoru system (installing, uninstalling, widgets, whatever) is so easy

Look at me, a C# (by Microsoft) developer falling in love with Mac/Apple. :p

I hope you get yours soon, I've been waiting since January when the rumor mill started. This is my first Mac and going to the Apple Store every once in a while to play on the machines has really helped with waiting. Good luck & it will be worth it! :D

Haha, I'm in the same postion as you. I curently have a crappy 3 year old Vaio and it's on it's way out now, real slow despite having 2GB ram, C2D and 1.8ghz. Battery lasts <10 minutes, not even joking. And it also says I've run out of HDD space despite having deleted most of my stuff off it :(

On the other hand, getting either a i5 or i7 15" in July! Can't wait! Watched every unboxin of it on YouTube, looks amazing?

Ps, anyone know how I can speed up my Vaio?

    wrong.

if you are going to talk about a mac's flaws then please leave. Its long been established that macs are flawless. perfection would be an understatement. Any and all problems that a mac has is never apples fault..rather its the user who is clumsy and cant handle such powerful software. maybe you should stick with pc's with unstable software. I don't understand how anyone can criticize a mac. It just makes me so mad!!

Hahaha. Please don't make me laugh. Perfection would be an understatement?
I love Macs, I really LOVE them, but they do have problems, I think you need to realize this. It is a computer, granted an extremely sexy computer, but it is definitely not perfect.

That's what I think anyways, and I still can't wait to get one! :p

    lmao, thread winner

To OP: I know exactly how you feel, I was all sorts of giddy when I went to pick up my MBP a few months ago, was stuck on a Gateway running Vista w/ 1GB RAM for three years... SOOOOOOO nice to have a laptop that just works... I was so excited that I bought a 2006 whitebook to repair and use, so I went from none to two in about three weeks, lol
