EVERY SINGLE PERSON who says that android screens are too big are full of it. Let apple release a 5 inch iPhone.....ALL OF YOU will be lining up doing upgrade swaps and doing all kinds of things to get the NEW IPHONE 6XL....Lol

I won't. Like the 5 and the 4S size. Any larger and I wait for something else.
;) :D

I think they will be larger eventually, but likely there will be an iPhone 5S (same shell) first if they keep their trend up, so two more years? Then iPhone 5 will be the smaller model (like the 4/4S now) and iPhone 6 will be the larger upgrade.

Think they'd have a whole new design in 2013? Hm....

FALSE.

Truth-be-told... I like the iPhone 5 screen size but was perfectly content with the size of the 4s. Any bigger than what it is now and that's just too big. I don't need a TV in my pocket, I've got one of those hanging on the wall.

I say this in the nicest way possible....your full of it...lol

I love how people act as if the market is flooded with 5 inch phones. When it really isn't.

The proof is in the money spent if people wanted a 5inch phone then no one would have gotten any iPhone5. But obviously on this board very few people apply logic.

Used 3GS with 3.7 , used SGSII 4.2, using iPhone 5 4.0 , using 3GS was easiest reaching to screen's all area is OK. At SGSII it was an 'eh' but using notification center everytime, makes you fall your phone lol. ( I'm 6'2 guy, huge handed ) iPhone 5... Notification center is still bit hard to reach... but you can still keep your phone in your hand. So as an architech i approve between 3.7-4.0 as it fits human sizes...

Also being 6'2, big handed guy , this interested me, i have used most all phone screen sizes from 3.5" upto the note 2 briefly at 5.5" , my comfort zone was 4.3" or so , that would be my ideal screen size

You're right. I have so many reasons to lie about my true feelings regarding cellphone screen size to everyone on eThe imternets.

Fact is I had a 4s and now a 5. I have zero reason to BS about how I feel about the screen size of either. I like the 4s screen size. Would I trade my 5 for it? Obviously not or I would have done so already. My point is I don't want it to get any bigger than the 5.

My first smartphone was a 4.3" galaxy s. I went from that to a 4s and liked the 4s better.

This might be 'Murcia but bigger is not always better....

I have a Galaxy S3 and an iPhone 5. I personally find the S3's 4.8" screen too large to use comfortably. I've held the Note II and the thing is like a iPad nano, not a phone.

While I wouldn't mind 4.3" on the iPhone 5-form factor (making it about 303 PPI), I would hesitate to buy one if it were larger.

Let's imagine a world where Apple adds another resolution to the iPhone ecosystem. To make it easier for the developers, Apple will want to multiply the base resolution by an integer so they'll add a 3x mode, making the resolution 1704 x 960. How big? Apple will want to keep the same pixel density, which is 326 PPI. Do the calculation and you need exactly an 6" diagonal.

So if Apple ever makes a big phone, I'd bet it'll be a 6" monster and it'll be called iPhone Pro. ;) (I'm being sarcastic but if Apple were really to make a giant phone, this will be the most logical way to do it)

An iphone with a screen size of 4.5~4.7 inches.... Come on apple! 4-inch is too small!! The iPhone5 tiny screen is hurting my eyes!!!

If you don't like it, don't buy it. And don't tell Apple what iPhone to introduce. Just because you like a bigger screen doesn't mean EVERYONE else does.

I would bet all the money, even my last penny that if Apple stopped making smaller screens and strictly made 5 inch screens in the future...YOU would get one. My opinion though. I'm not loyal to a "brand" I buy what I like. I'm open to any good decent smart phone. I like what both iOS and Android bring to the table. iOS has been lagging of late, and in the future I bet they will make a 5 inch + phone. And many, including every Apple fanboy, will line up to buy one. Maybe even yourself.

^this^ , though not quite as harsh, but there are only so many times by so many people across apple you can be told what the perfect screen size is / what you can do / hold with one hand .

they WILL make a bigger phone, maybe not next year even but they will, and that also will have the PERFECT resolution / screen size.

People are way too picky about retina and all that crap. A tv I understand, a phone though? Oh come on!! Lol...Galaxy S3 .....Great phone excellent software. iPhone 4S on anything before 6.0....same thing. iPhone 4S or 5 on 6.0....Great phone and half baked software. Oh...and all great screens. Even the Original Note had a great screen.

Also the new windows phones have been great as well!!

People worry too much about what others find important. It's all subjective. Same goes for the whole screen size "debate" -- it's a matter of preference and preference varies from person to person despite the countless people who don't seem to be able to grasp the notion. Use what works for you. Just don't assume that everyone else's preferences are identical to your own.

You'd be a broke, broke person.

Let me restate: I have an iPhone 5. I had an iPhone 4s for almost a year before that. I'm not saying that I wouldn't buy a screen larger than the 4s... I already have. But if the screen size keeps getting bigger and bigger (a la galaxy S3 or galaxy note), I will be shopping my options. I'm in NO WAY loyal to any specific brand. In fact, my iPhone 4s was my first Apple device, EVER. I started with Android (galaxy S) and moved to the iPhone after determining what I NEEDED out of a phone that the galaxy S was not doing for me (reliable calls/texts first and foremost). For all purposes, and to quote a famous Apple commercial, "I'm a PC."

You don't know me. You don't know who I work for or what kind of incentives I will be offered to be brand loyal to my employer. You don't know my history or buying habits. You don't know my profession or how involved I may be in the smartphone realm and what impact that could have on my future cell phone choices. When it comes to this conversation and the point I'm making, you don't know anything.

What I don't know is why you are so adamant on convincing me (a complete stranger to you) that I truely feel differently about something that I have no reason to lie online about. People *can* have differing opinions than yourself and/or the majority opinion (in this case: "bigger is better").

I don't know what else to say besides I'm NOT lying (having no reason to lie). I PREFER the smaller screen sizes to the larger ones...

Thank You!

Agreed, i don't want to be carrying around a miniature ipad mini with me instead of a phone. The 5 inch phones are decent at being phones and bad at beings tablets. I'd much rather get an iphone and an ipad mini/ipad.

there is no iPhone 5X. There is a 5 and a 5S and the latter isn't even out. Stop asking for something that'll never come.
