I received an App Store update for Apple Remote Desktop I haven't installed?

Is there a terminal command to show if Apple Remote Desktop is secretly installed on my computer? I didn't install it, at least not knowingly, and am concerned I'm possibly being monitored with it by somebody. Help!

The client portion of ADR is distributed along with OS X, AFAIK, and this update relates to the client portion.

Yes, there is a client portion on every mac, nothing to worry about.

You can check that Remote Login and Remote Management are turned off in Sys Prefs > Sharing.
