I returned it today

    About 4 weeks ago, I bought the 1.2, 512MB gold rMB. Loved the feeling and I couldn't even tell it was in may computer bag it was so light. Screen was great. Everything else was disappointing.

    1. My battery would only work without the plug for 3-4 hours. I closed it with 90%, had PowerNap off, and it was down to less than 15% when I woke up.

    2. If it was downloading something, everything else slowed to a crawl.

    3. It had trouble picking up wireless when awaking from sleep.

    4. The space key stuck after 18 days of use.

    5. The single port was OK...I used an adapter for USB 3 times over the month.

    6. The speakers had good sound.

    The Palo Alto Apple Store was very accommodating. But when they tried to wipe the computer, they couldn't get it to go into Recovery Mode. They deleted my home folder.

    Will try again if there is a 13 inch iteration with a better processor and if they work out the keyboard issues.

    Sounds to me like you just had a bad model. No way battery should drain from 90 to 15 when closed. Wireless not picking up after sleep is also not a common issue. Space bar key sticking is also not a common defect. Why not just call it as a dud and exchange it for another one if the only things that disappointed you were things that are freak incidents.

    Very far from my experience with my rMB 1.2 for the last 6+ months, likely hardware issues, it happens. Personally I have no issues on OS X 10.10.5
