Hello,

I've been looking at the lenses of my iPhone 17 Pro Max and noticed something strange.

On one of the lenses, you can see a shiny, slightly curved line, as if it's inside the glass. The odd thing is that it's not always visible, only when the light hits it from certain angles.

The glass doesn't appear to be damaged or dusty, but the mark appears and disappears depending on how the light hits it.

I'm not sure if it's inside or outside the lens, or if it could be some kind of internal reflection.

Has anyone else with this device noticed the same thing or know what it could be?

I'd like to know if anyone with an iPhone 17 Pro Max can check their lens and tell me if it also has that same mark or line on the edge of the lens, or if they know exactly what it is or what causes it.

I'm leaving a video and images so you can see exactly what I mean 👇

Thank you all very much, and I look forward to your response.

Looks like a slightly misaligned gasket, or some bonding that’s seeped out.

If it doesn’t affect the photos, don’t worry about it.

If you can see it on the photo, take it back.

Good thanks for commenting.

Well, I couldn't tell you 100%, but from what I've been seeing and reading, if it were a displaced joint, it would appear to be more irregular or shifted, not as curved and clean.

In this case, it looks quite rounded and seems to follow the same curvature of the lens, as if it were part of the edge itself.

This line follows the shape of the edge exactly, so I get the feeling it's part of the lens's internal design, not something out of place.

As I mentioned, sometimes it's visible and sometimes it's not, depending on the light, so it sounds more like a reflection or something optical than a misplaced part, but like I said, I don't know.

What I'd also like to know is if anyone thinks this could be a scratch on the glass or if it looks more like something inside the module, like inside the lens.

For now, it doesn't affect the photos, but I'd like to know if other people are experiencing this too, to see if it's normal or if it only happens on my unit.

Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to respond 😊
