I logged in this morning and now I see voting on the mobile layout. Is this just a test or is it here to stay?
Working fine for me on iPhone 5 Safari!

ya, it's just bringing feature parity between desktop and mobile. so here to stay, but things may change on the voting thing anyway

It has been there for a while.
Hmmm ... I don't think too recently. I just noticed it now, I had the desktop version opening in my iPhone. It wasn't there a couple of months ago.
Up votes are pointless without down votes.
The thing that we are left to do is to create a post that simply says "down vote" but that would appear to violate the forum rules.
True. But if you were to take the time to write a post to say down vote, why not take the opportunity to elaborate as to why you wanted to down vote something?
MacRumors gives people an easy and convenient means of agreeing with a post but makes it cumbersome to disagree with a post by taking away the down vote button and then issuing warnings when someone creates a post that simply says down vote. Kinda hard to understand how that would even make sense to someone.
Because if you agree there's not much more to say as there's no real explanation that's needed or usually asked for with agreement, but if you disagree then you should be able to say why otherwise it's sort of incomplete without that explanation.MacRumors gives people an easy and convenient means of agreeing with a post but makes it cumbersome to disagree with a post by taking away the down vote button and then issuing warnings when someone creates a post that simply says down vote.
