So in the last two weeks I convinced 4 people to buy a MBP, and I want a commission from apple for my hard work. I'm not asking much just a few bucks... But seriously, should apple give rewards (could even be in terms of a free ipod or something) for people who convince others to switch to mac?

That depends greatly on where you work.
Your incentive is having a job.
Its not Apple's responsibilty to give you a reward for doing your job. Its your employer's option to do so.

But i don't work for apple... Just convinced people to buy a mac not as part of a job.

How about just enjoy the fact that you've helped these folks to enjoy a different, IMHO better, OS and computing experience. 🙂

Edit: Beaten by UD. Great minds think alike. 😀

So does any one else ever feel that way? You convince all these people to switch and you get nothing for it.

Surely it's better if you don't get a commission because then your advice is legit. If you get bribed to give it, it is hardly impartial advice and you could end up telling people to buy something when you know they would be better with something else... 😉

For me, I enjoy the thanks for helping me see the light type comments.

I find it fun to see the gleam in their eyes.

But that's just me.
