For years it's been fashionable to bash AT&T. Especially within Apple forums.

Facts are usually avoided wherever possible :)

Actually for once in a LONG time, AT&T isn't getting all the credit. I think all 4 of them have realized that the old days of relying on family plans for gross profit is over. What's the next greatest thing to screw customers? Instalment Plans! Instead of paying max. $350 per line to cancel, now we get the privilege of forking over a mortgage payment or more.

What never ceases to amaze me is the number of people that love anointing Apple like their God while paying large premiums for the product, only to turn cheap and expect carriers to give away their services.

I don't work for discount rates, and I don't expect my carrier to either. But then again I can easily afford to buy, maintain and enjoy what I want.

There's a huge contingent of iOS customers that rely on their parents money for their Apple gear, in turn this skews the overall picture. It also explains how easy it is for Apple to dominate and influence their worshipers.
