It's a small thing, so I can see how many haven't noticed it. If you go to your iPod, click on an album, then a song, watch how the transition occurs for the full screen album art. Right to left across the screen right? Now, in addition to pressing either the "arrow pointing to the left" in the top left of the screen, or the "track listing" button to see all the songs for the album, you can simply put your finger on the screen and swipe to the right (the reverse direction of the transition).

I tried it earlier today as it simply felt intuitive, as was shocked to find out it works. No more pressing on a little button just to change to a specific song while I'm driving for me!

Hmm. A swipe doesn't do anything for me in 1.1.2. But a double-tap does the same thing as the right hand track button.

Reverse swipe doesn't work for me either. Double-tap does.

Also, a feature of the double-click on the home button I haven't seen mentioned is that it brings up the iPod controller, when it's playing, even if the iPhone is locked.

guys, left to right... Not right to left. That's why its not working for you guys with 1.1.1. It must mimic the reverse of the transition slide

I found this out not too long ago, its fun to just do. It's just like the slide to delete thing, it just seems right! Cheers man.

It's cool, I guess. I don't know whether or not i would call it a feature. It just seems like normal UI stuff to me.

but wait there's more...

this same action can be used when you're listening to a single track to bring you back to your playlist. Simple left to right swipe across the album art and it slides your playlist into place.

I find that it works best when you double swipe the album art (left to right) instead of just swiping once or fast.
One more reason the iphone rocks.

After trying it once, I'd have to concur. The room for error (as it relates to the velocity of your finger) appears to be alot more (needs less speed) with two fingers.

FWIW, a two finger tap = a double tap in some instances of the iPhone interface.

Doesn't work consistently for me, and when it does it takes me to the track screen with a white background and the shuffle facility at the top.

Personally, I prefer the double tap which works every time and takes me to the more elegant track screen with a black background.

I've only just discovered the slide to delete feature while reading through emails and sms on the train during my journey home tonight.
