I think I just found an iPhone feature I've never read on the net...Anywhere.

Slide to delete can be used in the sms and email list. slide your finger from left to right across any message you wish to delete and the delete option will highlight for that message alone.

Doesn't work consistently for me, and when it does it takes me to the track screen with a white background and the shuffle facility at the top.

Personally, I prefer the double tap which works every time and takes me to the more elegant track screen with a black background.

What's weird is that this doesn't need to be a double tap. It can simply be a tap with two fingers, and it does teh same thing. I'm starting to wonder about "UI Consistency" and what the hell certain Apple UI engineers were thinking when they implemented so many ways to do the same thing which are not necessarily consistent across the phone.
