"I think I may need a bathroom break..."

What I thought was funny was the (heavy, grave) caption:

"U.S. President George W. Bush writes a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005. World leaders are exploring ways to revitalize the United Nations at a summit on Wednesday but their blueprint falls short of Secretary-General Kofi Annan's vision of freedom from want, persecution and war."

And you think, what could it be? A proposal to save the UN? A criticism of Kofi Annan? No, "Can I do a pee pee"! ;)

New TV ad for Detrol LA?

This would make a great TV advert for Pfizer....Imagine the President in the middle of a UN meeting rushing for the loo screaming "got to go! got to go!"

The pharma industry is always looking for advocates!!! :D

Why must you spoil my fun? I thought for sure I could get someone to bite. ;)

But seriously, I don't have any doubt that the photo is authentic (although snopes.com is still undecided). I just think it's more of a comment on the photographer's juvenile sense of humor.

hehe but don't worry, someone likely will still bite :D.
wouldn't it be even more funny if the photographer hadn't realized what was written on the note (given the caption)?

edit: apparently, that was the case:link

Yeah, I don't know how the photographer could have known (before snapping the picture) what the President was writing. What I should have said was that whoever actually made the decision to run the picture had a juvenile sense of humor. It's interesting; the story (the one you linked to) has the headline, "Reuters Says Bush Photo Not 'Malicious'", but if you read a little further, we have the quote:
“Rick [the photographer] had no idea what he was shooting, or what Bush was writing,” Hershorn [his editor] said. “If Rick knew what he was writing we'd have 25 pictures of this, not two.”

Potty training option

An option for your President:

Pee-ing onself while wearing a dark suit, it like a good deed.

It gives you a warm comfortable feeling, and no one notices.

Cheers,

probably, but he must have also realized that this was going to generate a lot of traffic.

off topic: is your tar from the tumble-bumble book?

Ha, no, but I am a fan of Felicia Bond's books (and other authors' books that she's illustrated). My avatar is from this book.
