I think I want a 11.1" Black Anodised Aluminium MacBook

11.1" ? Not while the macbook air is still around, otherwise you've got two products eating each others sales.

Although i like the black anodized bit, maybe compromise and say 12" and 14" like the iBooks were?

Well im a PC man, soon to be Mac.
I had a look at one of those 11.1" Sony AUD$3000.. WTF???
Thats AUS$1000 on top of a Blackbook

No kidding. And the Macbook Air actually has a LARGER footprint than the Macbook (only slightly, but still).

Who cares how thin it is...it the footprint that matters to me with an ultra-portable.

Not to everyone. Some people want a thin, lightweight laptop that maintains a good sized keyboard and large screen (not everyone has 20/20 eyesight).

I'm not in the market for an MBA, but it does have its place. Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba, and pretty much every big name has something like an MBA, and they're all expensive, some even more expensive than the MBA by a fair margin.


Anyway, please bring on the 11" MBA. ;) Even a 10" is good.
 
If anything Apple would expand the Air line so that there'd be an 11.1" MBA.

fun fact: I'm pretty sure that Sony tz has pretty much the same resolution as the macbook and MacBook air. An 11.1" mba would be fantastic.
 
I want the new MacBooks to come in coloured aluminum to match the nanos. :D

I agree! This market is really hot right now. I just bought the ASUS 1000H EEE PC because I had to have something to travel with that had a small footprint and could easily fit in my purse. HOWEVER, I would dump it tomorrow if Apple came out with something similar.
 
Ok, I want a black anodized aluminum 11.1" Macbook Pro with 1920x1200 resolution, a blue-ray dvd burner and HDMI out. I'd also want it to have LED backlighting along with the keys and I want to get 8 hours battery life out of it too. Oh and 512gb of SSD storange :D.

Overkill maybe??

LOL, Black anodized would be an awesome color if they added that in general to whatever sized notebook I'd be all over it.
