Ok, I want a black anodized aluminum 11.1" Macbook Pro with 1920x1200 resolution, a blue-ray dvd burner and HDMI out. I'd also want it to have LED backlighting along with the keys and I want to get 8 hours battery life out of it too. Oh and 512gb of SSD storange :D.

Screw the aluminum, I want Carbon Fiber made at 3000ºC.

Dude if that was ever released I would sell body organs so that I could afford it! Well... not my ears... I need them...

OK.. OP here.

After scouring the net to see what notebooks are out there, IM really set on a UMPC/Netbook.. I like the Macbook, but feel its probably a bit out of my price range - for something that Im going to be using for web/email/word.

Im really leaning towards at this point an Asus Eee PC Linux version. They are a third of the price of the cheapest Macbook here in Aus... For around Aus$650 I get a small formfactor notebook, moderate CPU (enought for my use), 1GB RAM (once again enough) 20GB SSD - Cool.. And Linux!!!

Im going to wait around until the new Macbook come out.. But I dont really like my chances of them competing with the current netbook range out there Asus, Dell etc etc..

Disclaimer. This is not a Mac bashing thread. I was seriously considering purchasing my first Mac.. But will probably be moving to a Linux Netbook - Eee Pc 901.

Black aluminum would be sic. But they need to keep the same sized screen and make the viewing taller. As they are right now, it's kind of squished?
