OMG!!! So based on a tip I got from the MacRumors forums I ended up with a new MacBook Pro way before the ship date on my 2016 MBP I had ordered online from the Apple Store. The keyboard on this thing is everything I've ever wanted in a keyboard. It's freaking awesome. I can type so fast on it....granted I usually type fast but now I type really fast. It does make some noise like people said but WOW I love to go fast.

The display on this thing is amazing. I'm so happy with it.

Welp!!! I guess tomorrow I will start installing some apps on this thing and getting him all set up. The engineering on this machine is so pristine. It gives me chills. The track pad is HUGE!

I don't get why Apple didn't put 32GB into the new MBP or at least something higher than 16GB to show they are doing something. It seems like they could've beefed up the touch bar with 4 or 8GB of ram and then used the touch bar to provide additional ram on an as needed basis when 16GB isn't enough. I feel like they missed an opportunity here. I will say though that the iPad Pro line of products is surprisingly stable. Maybe they should just cut their loses with the Mac and go all in on iProducts.

Which tip? That some Apple Stores have them in stock or that Best Buy had some with a 11/16 ship date?

I went to the Apple Store and picked a MBP 15" with touch bar up.

Lol this guy is so dramatic
We're all a little dramatic until we get our MacBooks in our hands and then we are happy again.
[doublepost=1479279122][/doublepost]another good thing about this computer is that Xcode downloads in like 20 minutes. That's way faster than what it was doing on my previous machine.

Did you get the model with the 460 gpu? Does it run hot and loud? Im hoping its a lot cooler than the 2015 gpu

That just proves that are many different types of people.
For me this keyboard if awful but hey I guess even in the apple community are some masochists. :p

Sorry, but for me more key travel means tired fingers and more mistakes.

There is a golden spot for key travel.
Too much and it costs to much power, to less and it feels like constantly jumping on
concrete. For me with the new keyboard it is definitely the last one.

I am a very fast/professional typer and I write a lot typically 8-11 hours a day.
I write about 418 characters a minute (~84 words per minute) and it physically hurts to do that on that keyboard.
The best anology I can come up with is constantly jumping barefooted on concrete.

So you're basically saying you're loving your very expensive brick? I thought you were going to do all your work on a iPad pro that has 4GB of memory because the MBP does not have 32GB of memory?
Sorry there is a misunderstanding here. IPad Pro is my favorite Apple product ever. I wasn't comparing a MBP to an iPad.

I'm confused. Didn't the OP post about how awful the new MBP is in various other threads? Now he magically has one and loves it?

I predict in Act III he starts a thread about having used it for a couple days he has found some terrible and unexpected flaw and he has to return it and switch to Windows.

I'm just not a Windows person. So that's pretty much out of the question for me.

Which will make it even more "shocking" when you must reluctantly make the switch due to the shocking and inexcusable problem you are going to find.

In all seriousness, didn't you spend the last couple days badmouthing this thing?

OP is the reason I don't take this forum seriously. "THE SKY IS FALLING! NO WAIT, I'M IN LOVE!" Um, okay.

Too many dramatic fanboys/girls, that complain about the machine not being "pro" but are clearly anything but themselves.

They're the sort of people who wait in lines for days for a new product though and just like shiny new things. If it isn't shinier or newerer than the last one, there'll be hell to pay!

Lol spoiled kids, who end up using this for nothing more than facebook, browsing the web to find what else they can spend daddy's money on and of course porn. Totally fits the profile

Well it didn't feel like an upgrade until I got it in person.
