I don't get why Apple didn't put 32GB into the new MBP or at least something higher than 16GB to show they are doing something. It seems like they could've beefed up the touch bar with 4 or 8GB of ram and then used the touch bar to provide additional ram on an as needed basis when 16GB isn't enough. I feel like they missed an opportunity here. I will say though that the iPad Pro line of products is surprisingly stable. Maybe they should just cut their loses with the Mac and go all in on iProducts.

16GB isn't enough but an iPad is? Substantiate your statement with why 16GB isn't enough. skylake doesn't support 32 and KL doesn't support quad core. Of all the complaints I have heard against the new MBP 32GB RAM, or lackthereof isn't one of them

Yeah this is the slowest computer ever made. It's slower than Babbage's Analytical Engine.

I heard it's such a brick that construction companies are ordering stacks of them to build garbagewalls around piles of garbage.

I see the fanboys are in a tizzy because Im not worshipping at the alter of the golden Apple.

Not a fan boy. And not upset about your post. Just pointed out that your post was nothing more than emotional noise with no factual bite. The new MBP is not a brick. It works for a lot of people. You not liking that the new MBP doesn't allow for more RAM does not equate to said product being an expensive brick, (in and of itself).

to add to the title, Tim and Shiller are ******** bricks seeing the backlash and are planning what else they gonna remove next to keep the high margins in poor customer response to their "after Steve era" products.

Is that so bad?

Bricks are stable, last a long time, and are the foundation of many structures.

This forum is full of keyboard analytic majors who finger themselves at the sight of any chance they can bash Apple.

Enjoy the products you love and consider getting a hobby if you trash on people for their purchases.

Ps. Nice abs
Yea its pretty annoying really. Same with iPhone stuff over the years. Complaining and more complaining. Even though its progress people still complain and want something more they don't even know what.
I hear it from my friends all the time when apple releases something new. Its the same thing nothing new nothing different.
I ask the question what do you want that hasn't been out yet and that these phones or computers can't do already? The answer is i don't know something new.
At this point in technology there won't be huge jumps in new experiences. VR is something that apple can jump into and make really good.
People want something they don't new even though they don't need anything that can't already be done.
And thanks haha

I see you've yet to substantiate anything you said..Explain why you need 32GB of ram, in a technical sense. What are you using the system for? Do you even own a Mac now? You are aware a Mac with 16GB of Ram is probably faster than a Windows machine with 32GB of ram.

Let's hear it. You come in an razz the Mac crowd, now back it up with facts.

confirmed :

Geekbench multi-core score of Negative-a-Million

in fact when you turn it on you just fall asleep instantly and when you wake up you're standing alone in a field holding an old scratched up Asus Eee-PC netbook with Linux on it for some reason, and it takes you an hour to figure out how to command-line it to connect to a standard USB key.

What?!?! Use the touchbar to "provide addition ram on an as needed basis"!?!? Do you know how the Intel chipset and memory controller works? (I can only assume not).

Yes it does. Apple should found a creative way to satisfy user demands. The USB-C thing was genius. They need to stop being stingy with the ram.

Other than a few loud complainers on here, users are not demanding what you are demanding.

actually i was looking at some reviews and apparently when people tried to use the macbook pro 2016 they suddenly just started beating their own heads against the wall like a robot from westworld

thats how bad this computer is

and like, oh man when i get mine in the mail next week i'm going to IMMEDIATELY throw it in the garbage can because it's a BRICK and no one will ever compute anything on it EVER

Yeah the new Pro's actually slow down when you turn them on. Magical Apple, truly Magical :)
