Nobody knows the numbers yet, so making any declarations about immediate success/failure is silly.

It'll obviously sell well, as most new releases do. And it being in 'short supply' will make it seem like a 'hot item'.

Yes. People seem to ignore the key missing variable here -- we do not know how many units Apple can make in a day. The fact the ship time is slipping is meaningless unless we know that.

If Apple can only make 10K per day then a 5 week backorder is only 350K units -- piss poor by any standard. OTOH if Apple can make it's more normal 500-600K per day, well, that's over 17m units and quite impressive. Analysts have said Apple will get to 30m units by end of year after a slow launch. So far they are more or less on point but no way to verify yet. Hopefully the cellcos announce activation numbers after the launch weekend.

Some sites/carriers still show preorder for 11/17 here at 9am.

Most abundant launch, or least demand, I dunno which. Totally easy.

I did and that wasn’t true at all. You read forums and other threads instead of making a ****post, then you know that to be true.

Even on MacRumors, there are people who ordered an HOUR, granted this is 64 GB, and still received 11/3.

Suggest you read my post fully and other threads before commenting.

I mean, why wouldn't you try the app or the mobile website? Or if you belong to a carrier, one of the carrier websites?
