I think we will probably see some movement with the pre-orders this week, depending on where the watches are coming from

It's only the 13th.

There are still days and days until the 24th.
I'm just saying if they are coming from china it could take couple days to reach the states, the is this the week before initial launch.

I think we'll know by the weekend whether or not our Watches will be delivered on the 24th.

As it stands, I need to stop monitoring this website and my Apple Store account for movement. I hate waiting for regular items to be delivered, two or possibly more weeks for something I really want is going to be a pain

Same here I have to stop monitoring the websites

Having ordered my 38mm Space Gray Sport a minute too late, I really hope to see some movement with the dates to get it on release day instead of mid-May!

iPhone orders are usually shipped from China. The previous iPhone preorder date was a week before its launch date. The Apple Watch, in comparison, is two weeks before its launch. I think we won't see movement h until 6-7 days before the 24th

just get someone to thaw you out on the 24th

I cancelled my 38mm Space Grey Sport so you just moved up the line by 1 spot. :p

I assume a lot of people pre-ordered multiples before going to the Apple Store to try them on, and then cancelled the ones they didn't want.

If, and it's a huge if, you were going to get yours on 4/24, the earliest you will see movement is Monday 4/20. Most of the 4/24-5/8's won't take delivery until after 4/24.

Many people don't realize that when Apple says "Delivers 4/24" it means "Arrives 4/24" and in order to make that happen, since launch stock comes from China, you're going to see movement as soon as 10 days before if you know how to watch for it.

We only have 12 days until the first orders should be arriving at doorsteps.

So guessing that this week will see movement, that's basically a conservative guess.

I believe Apple anticipated this which is the primary explanation (along with other mind-changing situations) behind the large date ranges for deliveries.

The model I chose didn't seem very popular so I'm hopeful to receive it on launch day.

Way too early, there won't be any movement until at LEAST end of next week. But I suspect it will happen more close to Sunday or Monday (20th+)

The orders go from China to US via FedEx .. only takes like 2 days to get to a distribution hub.

I'm also a 'minute late' person. Mid May hoping for sooner.

What caused my delay? The idiocy of the app demanding the security code from the credit card I had saved. The time it took me to dig out the card (as I don't move very fast at 3AM) cost me my April 24th ship date.

Although all pictures of the 42mm look big on me, that's the one I really want, but not sure I want to wait for June for that one.

I would guess that those that will have delivery on the 24th will start to see "prepared for shipping" as early as next Friday (4/17) and as late as Monday (4/20). If they do have stock already staged in the US, it could be as late as Tuesday or Wednesday.

Does anyone actually have a date of only 4/24 and not the 4/24-5/8

Not that I've seen. But, once we get "prepared for shipping" and then the tracking number, people will get their delivery date. My best guess (from an embarrassing amount of Apple pre-orders) is that these will ship directly from China and that we will know by next weekend who will have 4/24 delivery dates.

I'm thinking Sunday the 19th in the US at the very minimum based on FedEx's shipping estimator.

You have some insider information the rest of us aren't privy too? I fully expect my watch on the 24th. Two weeks to sort out orders should allow for the first orders to be filled on launch day.
