75% of the reason I'm getting this watch is to load music on it and use my Bluetooth headphones in the gym so I can leave my phone in the car. By far the number one feature for me.

Why not get an iPod?

Forgive me, but why? Why post this here?
......
But we are waiting here and don't need this, thank you very much :D
Actually, I do. :D My money is already spent..buh-bye. No buyer's remorse here. I would love to hear genuine negative feedback (which the OP lacks, BTW). Gives me something to think about and consider while we wait more than the treacly "oh this is the greatest think ever" posts that are everywhere. Which are actually kind of fun to read too, but need bitter with the sweet.

If I understand it correctly you can load 2GB of music directly onto the watch, and the phone can then be left out of bluetooth range.

That's correct, if you are only using it for music. Thought you would have wanted to still receive notifications while in the gym. I will probably leave the phone in a locker and use the gyms wifi to have the watch and the phone all time connected.

Control the music on your iPhone. Or leave your iPhone at home and listen to your favourite synced playlist right from Apple Watch using wireless Bluetooth headphones.

Thank you, yes. This is one of the killer capabilities of the Watch, especially for those who hike or run or bike. Add a nice Bluetooth headset and away you go: tunes, podcasts and talking books, all on your wrist with no phone clunking around in your pocket if you don't want it.

I don't own an iPod. But in response I would say:
A) AW for its fitness tracking capabilities; and
B) can still receive notifications of calls and at least some capability to reply to texts (if iPhone and AW are on same wifi, IIRC)

You will be able to load music

I tested the Watch 2 days ago. Was not impressed. Couldn't figure out to load music onto the internal memory.

Unwieldy.

While your comment is understandably assaulted in here, I do understand what you're trying to convey.

While the AW is unquestionably an advanced piece of Technology, IMO, it's too early. Many have issues with the steep learning curve, and the "looking at the watch all the time" will become the major issue IMO. When I look around and see colleagues looking at their watches in meetings it says, "Is it over yet."

As a society we are not ready for this device. Apple will not be able to simply sell millions (initial orders are under a million) and the late delivery dates are because your AW has not been manufactured yet.

Looking at your watch frequently in most group settings conveys boredom.

I was watching "Try On Appointments" yesterday. To be honest, other the Mac Evangelists that populate sites such as this were having a very tough time figuring out the AW. Even with the 1-1 (which IMO, from what I saw was sub-par.)

So, your initial experience was full of frustration? Don't feel bad you're not alone. This will be the AW's largest battle. Literally, IMO, it's too much too soon, and only the Hipsters really need one. :apple:

I had the complete opposite experience.

Went in with tempered excitement. Came out very impressed for a gen one product. Very beautiful piece of tech.

As long as your phone is not out of range.

You can store up to 2gb on the watch. My phone could be on the moon and the watch will still play my music.

I don't want to use headphones with a chord and I don't want an iPod in my pocket or strapped around my arm. I could careless about the fitness tracking part, I don't run much, mostly just lift weights. When I'm not in the gym it will be nice to get notifications on my wrist.

Yes, I know that and it has been explained to the original commenter. But you will find that many people would want to use this for more then just listening music.

Unwieldy? Do you know what that means?

Just cause the first definition you saw on Apple's "look up in dictionary" didn't fit doesn't mean you should go ahead and insult someone.

Unwieldy - not easily managed, handled, or used (as because of bulk, weight, complexity, or awkwardness (merriam-webster)

Nothing about it is complex. It's easier to use than Android Wear.

We're gonna need more detail than this, because in its current form your post makes no sense.

Did you receive a fully operational review model to test? In which case you'd have to ask apple how to load music because none of us have tested a fully working model yet and don't have an answer.

If you mean you visited the Apple Store and tried one on or played with a display model then you can't load music, because they're for display only, and the ones you try on are running an uninterruptible demo loop, in which case loading music is something you can figure out once you've bought a retail unit.

"If you don't want an :apple:Watch, [don't buy it]
if you bought one and you don't like it, [bring it back]"

I think it's time for Jonathan Mann to change up his iPhone 4 song a bit for the :apple:Watch

Something that hasn't been mentioned, but if you plug the charging cable for the watch info the computer and then put your watch on it what happens? I'm guessing you'll be able to see it and put music from the latest itunes update on to it. As well as do firmware updates when the time comes.

Bluetooth headphones do not deliver the same music/sound quality as my Grado or Sennheiser headphones. For audiophiles, not very useful :(.

No Lightning connector. Songs are loaded via an iPhone!?!

Not very fun :( or convenient.

I don't think an "audiophile" would first of all use an iPhone accessory for their main device for pushing music. The DAC probably isn't up to "your" expectations anyway. Pretty silly really IMO.
