So forgive me if there is a better forum for this question.

Is it still true that Apple is dropping all support for i-Tunes and the i-Tunes store in the next few months?

That's what I'd heard about 4-6 months ago but have not seen anything mentioned recently.

I know they want everyone to transition over to the subscription based Apple Music service, but I refuse to pay a monthly fee just to listen to music.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

No.

I highly doubt Apple would removed to ability to pay-per album/song.

I haven’t heard that rumor.

Thanks Trentton.

I don't remember where I read about it but I was not happy about it. The story was that music (i-Tunes store) would be moving in some way to Amazon as Apple did not want to offer it anymore.

If it's not true, great. If it does turn out to be true, I guess you heard it here first.

This rumour does the rounds every so often from various sources on the basis that since nothing lasts forever one day it will be true. I think you can safely ignore it for now.
