i tunes problems

Hey all thanks for all the help, today my itunes started doing something weird.
When i'm playing songs it will glitch and pop and pause for a second then resume playing. when it does this it makes a pop sound in the speakers. Arrrg not only does this suck to listen to especially when i have speakers plugged in but it worries me that my computers screwed up.
Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked and front row does it too! what could it be???
And I keep getting a pop noise with the speakers plugged in. like a static sound.
Im worried something has to be pretty messed up.

no one has had this happen? Its annoying, and now when i have the speakers plugged in and no applications open it will pop. Any suggestions would be awesome.
I already tried re-installing quicktime nothing happened.
