Yeahbut. How many people actually READ the FAQ? Probably about as many as those who read an EULA...MacNut said:Until they read the FAQ and click yes I understand the rules they are not allowed to register.
Thats why you force it in front of them so they cant ignore it.nbs2 said:Yeahbut. How many people actually READ the FAQ? Probably about as many as those who read an EULA...![]()

most people scroll down click accept and continue without reading...
Perfect, that might just do the trick. We shall see tho if another "why can't I post an avatar" thread comes up.Doctor Q said:We made a change that might help. The User Control Panel "Edit Avatar" page now has a reminder about the avatar requirement.

Maybe one approach would be to give all newbies a default N00B avatar they can't change that is the same for all newbies/members/regulars. This would actually make it easier to tell those who don't want a 'tar from simple newbies. They're all alike, right?wwooden said:Is there a way to restrict "newbies" from starting threads about Avatars?
That would almost work-- except we'd get an influx of "Why can't I change my avatar?!"balamw said:Maybe one approach would be to give all newbies a default N00B avatar they can't change that is the same for all newbies/members/regulars.

How about if we use a picture of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. "No 'tar for you!".devilot said:That would almost work-- except we'd get an influx of "Why can't I change my avatar?!"
