I have a 32gb iPhone 5 I want a 64. I bought it from apple online, can I call AppleCare for an exchange? I don't have another phone to use so I can't return/rebut. I have a black but I don't care if the 64gb is white or black. How can I do this?

Apple will take care of you like stated above call Apple Care. I have same issue but bought in store. Totally different as I'm at the mercy of in store stock (no white 64's anywhere) as Apple basically treats online and in store as 2 completely separate businesses.
Silly question, but why not just buy he 64 in the first place.
No wonder there is a shortage of phones with all these people that switch sizes, colors, carriers, etc.
Sometimes people change their minds without free will we would be robots that's why I didn't choose the 64gb.
So if you would have chosen the 64gb then you would have been a robot? Very interesting...
I didn't post to get answers that aren't answers but people's opinions how I should have done it in the first place.
So I called AppleCare and they can only exchange like for like. They said I should return the phone then reorder it. I don't know how long it would take for my upgrade to reset and it just seems too crazy. I would just order it full retail online so I have one reserved then do the exchange but it doesn't let me do that. Anyone have any more advice or experiences.
You shouldve known they werent going to give you a higher gigabyte, so I dont even know why you attempted to beat the system. Youll know better for the 5s..
Keep in mind the date you can no longer return it. Try to find a replacement before then and do the switch-a-roo. Or, could you use a dumb phone or buy / borrow an older iPhone between the time you return yours an wait for a new one? I don't see a lot of options but there are some very creative people in this forum. Just make sure you can get your eligibility reversed if you used it to buy your current phone.

I had this problem and returned my 32gig to an apple store. They only had white in stock in the 64gig. I wanted black. Since my return window was closing I took the trade. Very smooth transaction. I only had to pay the additional 100 dollars in the store. The benefit was it reset my return date so if they receive the black model before the new return period is up I can swap out again.
You walked in and got a 64gb? What time I honestly don't care which color and when I call and ask if they usually stock any past the pre orders they say it depends on the day
Yeah I guess I'll go in early tomorrow I wonder if I can just buy one on an upgrade an get there have them process my refund and just resell it. Do they hold stock past online orders?
Find someone who got a 64gb and swap plus $100? I ended up buying a 64 because my store received no 32 black vzw models at all but I am happy I got the 64 in the end.
