judging by the fact that apple wouldn't make a nano that resembles a bad photoshop mock up it would be ok, it could be done but it would be expensive, bigger screen, more powerful cpu the costs outweigh the benefits.

maybe in about 2 years time.

I could never see that happening or at least I would hope not. I personally think the screen looks like crap on the nano cause it's so tiny but then again I would also never buy a nano because it can't hold enough songs.

perhaps you should look into a book on photoshop first.
That's not Photoshop. That's probably Microsoft Word. :D
Even on MS Word you can do it better than this.

Not only is that hideous, it would never work. I have seen some pretty good, though probably still waaaay far in the future iPod video concepts on iLounge tho.

there are certain things that don't actually make you go blind if you do them repeatedly. but, i think if you watched multiple shows on an iPod nano sized screen, then you WOULD actually go blind!!!! i think the screen on the iPod video is kinda small for watching shows. i tried watching an episode of the simpsons on my bro's iPod video, but i only made it about 15 min into the episode. i do think there is potential with 'docking' an iPod into a TV to watch video on the TV from the iPod. . . but with TVs going to HD and iPod in a format that is slightly smaller than normal TV, then watching a video from an iPod on an HD TV would look pretty bad (not too noticable on a normal TV the iPod is better quality than a VHS)

Maybe not the nano, but the second revision of the iPod, I want to see the screen to be big enough so that the edges touch the sides, so the video looks like its floating. That'll be really cool to see. And maybe 16:9.

/currently playing: Nine Million Bicycles - Katie Melua

Here's to the Crazy Ones

it had to have a 16:10 screen to stay in proportion but it looks pretty good and practical, your thumb can navigate the wheel and it's small and light enough to hold with one hand in the corner, i dont see any other way to turn a nano into a viable video player.

BOO YA

Everyone's talking about screen size but don't forget the fact that the nano is apple's "middlewight" if you will. The hard drive isn't large enough at this point to make it practical. Especially the 2GB version. I compressed Rounders the other day and it came to about 500 MB. So if you had a movie or two on there it would take up so much room that you wouldn't have space for music.

Nobody will use portable player to watch a full-length movie
But watch movie trailers and music videos is perfect!
and that will not take too much room
2G/4G is enough

Nano is a flash based player. It has no hard drive
