I want a portable external with Firewire 800 and no A/C adapter

Hello there,

I am wanting an external hard drive that will allow me to have Firewire 800 and USB, but I don't want to have to use an A/C adapter. I found this drive...

... but I have a few issues with it. The main issue is that I want 1TB of memory. The other issue may not even be an issue. I know that drive has annoying software on it, but I think I could just partition that away. I'd love your input on what drive I should get. Thanks.

You can always delete any software that comes with a hard drive. Either delete it or reformat it.

I had no problem with the Western Digital, but I'd definitely get the OWC if I had to do it over again, I just needed a drive that day.

The aluminium one also adds eSATA.
A power supply is not even included.
