I want to add people to my photos app. The question mark does not show up on photo after I click the info button

I want to add people to my photos app. After clicking the “i “ button under photo, there are no question marks on photo.

Do you look at the bottom left of the photo? There should be small icon with face there.

There is not. I just downldoaed 15 this morning. I now see that my photos have not been scanned. Since I have 19,000 photos, im guessing this will take awhile. Do you suppose that is why it is not working?

also, After doing a search of a person that used to be listed under people, all his photos were there. Why doesn't his photo show in the "people" album?

Yes I suppose so. Just let it finishes scan then you’ll be able to add new faces.
