Depends on your budget and time you're willing to wait.

It's a good phone. But the 6s is not far out from release (usually September)

With the release of a new phone the current 6 will also go down in price (which if you like the bigger screen is better than the 5s) If price is no issue on your decision then the 6s will be much better than both 5s and 6.

5s is a pretty decent phone. Bought both of my teenage boys the 5s this past year and they both enjoy having it. It should last them at least another year or two. Plus you can find some really decent deals on them now.

I'm still enjoying my 5S, but look forward to upgrading in a few months.

I bought an iPhone 5s due to the small form factor which I like the most, on February, and I am having no problems. If that is the phone you like, go ahead, imo.

Still, really nice phones, but unlike 6/6+, doesn't support Apple Pay unless connected to Apple Watch.

If you buy the iPhone 5s, make sure you find one with iOS 7.1.2. That version ran very well with no lags or stuttering animations.

Got the wife one last December for 49.99$ with her contract renewal. Can't go wrong. She doesn't like the size of the 6 etc so it was the obvious choice.

Yes! I would buy one when the next iPhone comes out, so the price gets lower, since it gets more out of date, I would say its an excellent phone, plus it doesn't bend!

For those who prefer a smaller screen the 5S is still an outstanding device. You can still find them new but they are not cheap.
Yeah, new they aren't "cheap", but you can find some deals. I got my wife the 64GB 5S on T-Mobile because they had it the same price as the 16GB version ($549) and a $72 promo on the higher capacity models, making the phone $478. For that price it was a good deal for us. Only issue was she wanted Space Gray and they only had silver and gold in stock, she got silver instead.

It's still a fine phone, especially if you don't need the latest and greatest. If you're able to hold out, the 5s may go down even further in price once the 6s is announced.

I think the iPhone 5S with iOS9 is a great product for the price.

If I had to score an iPhone before the iPhone 6S, it would probably be the 5S.

iphone 5s with iOS 8 is already laggy especially in text messages. Cant imagine iOS 9.

If you like the screen size, definitely go for it. It is very futureproof, so much so I don't expect it to lose iOS support any sooner than the 6 or 6 Plus. It's arguably worth waiting until it gets a price drop in September, although there will only be one model available, likely 16GB, if not 8GB .

To answer your question we really need to know what you want to get out of a smartphone and what is important to you.

Form factor, screen real estate, processor power, etc. Will you play games, read books, use it for work, etc.

I have tried them all iPhone 6 plus then the 6 them a few android phones then the 6plus and now the 5s. It's a phone you should use it with one hand in my opinion. Those other devices are great but the size of the 5s is perfect
